Strengthening Project Writing Skills for Erasmus+ Youth Workers

"Write It Down" was a 7-day Erasmus+ training course organized by IYAC Bulgaria from March 11–19, 2025, and hosted at the vibrant Youtopia Center in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. This project brought together youth workers, NGO leaders, and educators from across Europe with the aim of strengthening their capacity to design, write, and implement impactful Erasmus+ KA1 project applications.
During the training, participants took part in interactive workshops and simulations covering the full lifecycle of an Erasmus+ project—starting from identifying needs and setting objectives to structuring quality activities, preparing budgets, and mastering the online application process. Through collaborative learning and peer-to-peer feedback, participants deepened their understanding of the Erasmus+ framework and improved their practical writing skills.
A unique highlight of "Write It Down" was the creation of a series of video tutorials, designed to explain how Erasmus+ projects work, how to find and access calls, and how to approach the application process step by step. These resources are now available for public use and provide a helpful guide for newcomers and youth organizations looking to get started in the program.
To bring these videos to life, youth workers were introduced to cutting-edge AI tools, including:

  • InVideo AI – to transform scripts into polished video content with an AI narrator voice
  • Sora AI – for generating short, illustrative video scenes
  • Google Veo 2 – to refine visuals and apply cinematic storytelling techniques

These tools enabled the group not only to explore the intersection of AI and youth work, but also to develop practical digital skills that can enhance visibility and engagement in future projects. By incorporating new technologies into the learning process, "Write It Down" encouraged participants to think creatively about how to present, promote, and implement their ideas.
The Youtopia Center provided the perfect setting for collaboration, creativity, and cultural exchange. The cozy, youth-driven space allowed for deep connections between participants, evening reflections, and a motivating atmosphere that supported both learning and inspiration.

This project was not just about learning how to write—it was about learning how to communicate ideas effectively, how to collaborate across cultures, and how to transform local realities through international youth work. "Write It Down" empowered participants to take initiative, use digital tools responsibly, and become ambassadors for accessible and inclusive youth projects in their home countries.
